Bob Hilarides is Founder and President of Knowledge Amp, bringing a wealth of insight across brand and sales strategy, consumer/customer/shopper marketing as well as competitive and growth planning. Bob has lived in the space between CPG manufacturers, retailers and consumers/shoppers for 30 years. Broad experience across the range of categories, channels and marketing/sales topics allows Bob to efficiently apply proven principles and best practices to a wide array of challenges and translate the knowledge into actionable, proven strategies and tactics.

Prior to founding Knowledge Amp, Bob was an Executive Vice President/General Manager at SymphonyIRI leading their market structure business. Over fifteen years at Cannondale Associates as a Partner/Managing Director, he led hundreds of sales and marketing consulting engagements across the CPG landscape. Early in his career he managed brands from Aunt Jemima and Instant Oatmeal to Gravy Train and Nance's Mustard at Quaker Oats. He started his career in advertising at Ross Roy.

He has helped clients in go-to-market strategy, category management, trade and channel strategy, organizational design and competencies, challenger brand strategy, process design, market structure and segmentation, benchmarking, competitive analysis, positioning and a host of other disciplines. He led Cannondale’s Category Management practice, developing the Consumer Marketing At Retail (CMAR) approach and training numerous client organizations in its application.

Bob earned his MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and his B.A. cum laude from St. Lawrence University.
